Tony Gill, Founder and Chairman
After completing graduate school, Tony Gill began his real estate career as a research assistant at Smith Company, a Toronto-based commercial brokerage. This position provided excellent hands-on experience while teaching the nuances of the commercial real estate industry. Within a year, he moved to the transaction side of the business where he gained experience in leasing and investment transactions. After three years at Smith, he moved to J.J. Barnicke Limited, one North America's largest privately-held commercial brokerages, and Canada's first Insignia/ESG Inc. affiliate (it has since formed a strategic alliance with Trammell Crow Co.).
There, he co-founded a practice group providing real estate solutions to new ventures, from the incubation phase to post-early stage funding rounds. He transitioned from client side services in 2000 into advisory services working with early-stage high tech firms (with a real estate focus) specializing in business plan writing; strategic positioning and planning; financial analysis and modeling; and, venture capital fundraising. These initiatives increasingly required linking corporate strategy (particularly business continuity initiatives) with real estate policy. He founded Gill Advisors Inc. in the spring of 2003.
Tony received an MBA with a concentration in Finance and Real Estate from the Warrington College of Business, at the University of Florida in Gainesville, a BA in English, from The Florida State University, in Tallahassee, and a BA in Economics, from the University of Waterloo, Waterloo Canada.

Dr. Ajit S. Gill
Dr. Ajit Gill serves as geotechnical and engineering advisor to Gill Advisors. Dr. Gill is Emeritus Professor of Civil Engineering at Florida A&M University. He served as a senior advisor to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in the design and implementation of instructional curricula for engineering education and scientific programs sponsored by USAID abroad. In addition Dr. Gill is a licensed Professional Engineer with extensive practical experience as a consultant at Lavalin, a major global engineering and construction firm.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Gill supervised the construction of several important buildings designed by the world famous architect Le Corbusier which received acclaim in numerous professional publications as well as the popular media, including Time Magazine.
Dr. Gill received his Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Sciences from the University of Toronto.
Ralph Gill
Ralph Gill serves as financial advisor to Gill Advisors. Ralph is the Co-Founder of Cross Border Capital Advisors, a firm providing U.S. asset management services to the Canadian market and specializing in structured alternative assets. Ralph was an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, CIBC World Markets and Morgan Stanley. His real estate experience includes experience as a financial analyst of the Resolution Trust Corporation Oversight Board, and work as an Associate in the Real Estate Group at the law firm of Sullivan & Cromwell in New York.
Ralph earned his B.A. in economics and M.B.A. from Yale, and his law degree from Oxford. He has held adjunct faculty positions at Yale and Georgetown universities.
John Clutterbuck
John Clutterbuck is a senior corporate real estate advisor. In addition to his legal background and career experience as a real estate executive, John brings a broad expertise to Gill Advisors in areas of real estate continuity, transaction management and corporate real estate strategies.
John has worked with public and private real esate companies, as well as financial institutions and location-based enterprises in entertainment and retail sectors, as well as shopping centers and urban and suburban office and mixed-use facilities.
John graduated with honours and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa and qualification to practise law in Ontario, Canada. His Bachelor of Arts degree is from the University of Western Ontario.
Clifford Williams
Clifford K. Williams is a principal of Gill and has 14 years prior experience in the implementation of regulatory and policy mandates for the wireless, wireline, and IP industries, at the federal, state, and local levels at AT&T Corporation. For the last 10 years, Cliff has evaluated a wide range of telecom operations support systems, as well as associated business processes, and assessed their commercial viability and their compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements. These assessments have focused especially on the scalability and robustness of these operations support systems and business processes, under both typical and stress conditions. Cliff has also assessed the reasonableness of tariffed rate structures in various regulatory contexts. In addition, Cliff was directly involved in the FCC's selection of the technical telecom solution for local number portability, and the deployment of that solution on a nationwide basis. Cliff received has B.A. in economics, with distinction, from Stanford University and his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an Editor of the Yale Law Journal and an Editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation.
