Structure & Presentation

Muni Continuity is web-based and designed to give municipal planners the ability to build their own comprehensive risk-based continuity plans. The program is designed to be a simple, flexible and cost-effective. More importantly, it allows planners to use the provided materials and templates as the basis to build the all the requisite components of a plan. We believe the "build it yourself" approach ultimately instills more people with the knowledge of various levels of risk, and gives municipal planners a far greater degree of control over their own plans.

Once a local government signs up for the program, they will be emailed a set of links that provide access for all plan builders to access the seminars and planning templates. Each of these links provides access to the modules described above. Each module consists of a 10-15 minute WEB-BASED SEMINAR using streaming technology to present the major concepts provided in the module; each of these seminars contains a Resource Center that includes the following documentation that will provide the material needed to absorb the concepts and build a plan:

  1. A detailed WHITE PAPER that allows planners to internalize the details of the module
  2. An EXECUTIVE SUMMARY that is used to summarize the modules key points
  3. An ILLUSTRATIVE DEPICTION of the module’s structure that allows planners to visualize the key elements of the module
  4. The structured TAKE-AWAY document providing planners with a “to-do” list of items required to systematize those things that need to be done
  5. PROJECT MANAGEMENT GRIDS that allow planners to properly allocate resources, prioritize tasks and set timelines to completion
  6. Easy to use TEMPLATES that standardize the process and provide the documentation required to complete a plan
