How it Works
Assemble. Absorb. Act...
Gill BCP modules are designed to be scalable, and provide users with choice. Users can either download the Phase I content (and use this as a template to plan without assistance), or they can opt to plan on a more interactive basis with Gill, a process that provides users with a regimented approach to planning complete with tactical strategies, as well as comprehensive planning templates. Regardless of the choice, users will find this an innovative and logical framework from which to plan.
The program is simple and intuitive in its design. After subscribing to the program, an institution simply follows this simple 3-step strategy:
1. Assemble a risk management committee charged with carrying out the project.
2. Absorb the information imbedded in the online presentation and attached documentation.
3. Act accordingly – determine whether internal resources are adequate to carry out the assignment, or external service providers are required.
The program is centered around the elements found in phase I, however, a more comprehensive treatment is available in the segments that follow. The details or all the phases are listed below:
Phase 1 - The Online Seminars (Core)
This platform provides a self-paced learning model that synthesizes the strategic elements of location-based project work, with an auditorium-style seminar format using streaming technology as its foundational basis. Unlike a conventional seminar that occurs once at a fixed location (i.e. it is locationally dependant), these seminars can be viewed over and over again by all team participants and accessed simply on a viewers’ desktop. The program is divided into ten separate subject areas (or seminars), each of which consists of the following elements:
- An online seminar delivered on an anywhere/anytime basis for the duration of the clients subscription period
- A detailed white paper that provides the foundation for the seminar
- An executive summary of the paper and presentation
- A detailed action plan that provides the planning team with a list of actionable items that can be carried out to address the issues presented in the seminar
Each of the supplementary documents can be downloaded and printed for distribution to all critical members of an institution’s planning committee.
Phase IIA – Live Online Sessions (Optional)
This provides users with the ability to attend Gill BCP live online sessions. These one hour interactive live online sessions provide practical application to the theory and knowledge acquired in Phase I. Each of these sessions targets specific areas within the Phase I seminars and provides structure to the plan development process. Participants in this phase will receive valuable templates and checklists that provide a methodical approach to planning and a framework for action.
This phase is delivered by our corporate training/change management advisors, JeMM Consultants.
Phase IIB – Facilitated Workshop (Optional)
Start the BCP plan development process by attending this three-day instructor-led workshop. This customized workshop translates the theory and knowledge acquired in Phase I into practical and actionable steps for the organization. Participants receive time in the session to begin the planning process using supplied templates and checklists, hence facilitating plan completion back on the job. This model promotes ownership of the planning process and gives participants the ability to make sound decisions. This phase is delivered by Gill and our corporate training/change management advisors, JeMM Consultants.
Phase III: Consulting and Implementation Services (Optional)
Gill provides full-time consulting and implentation services on a project basis tailored to specific client needs and objectives. Gill consulting and implementation services can augment and/or provide technical support to clients' internal BCP resources and teams, or provide a fully outsourced BCP solution and follow-up implementation.
